Nature School for
Pre K-2nd Grade Homeschoolers
At Explorers by Nature, we intentionally slow down to enjoy and appreciate time spent in community outdoors as we engage in play-based learning. Explorers by Nature School offers two class options: a thematic unit that changes seasonally, or a Creative Arts & Yoga class with a focus on emotions! Both Nature School class offerings are structured to create a community of learners who are engaged, inquisitive, and drivers of their own learning paths. Come prepared for hands-on, active, exciting and sometimes even messy learning in nature with friends! Join us for one or both days of play-based learning in nature! Charter funds are accepted, and a discount for those interested in enrolling in both! Please contact for more details.
Every part of your child's day with Explorers by Nature is thoughtfully designed to meet their varied needs: social-emotional, physical, and educational. Children are given autonomy of their time with Explorers by Nature, through free time, open station choices, and planned activities that are intended to be child-led. Granting our children this independence builds self-confidence and allows explorers to discover new passions and interests.
You know your child best! Therefore, in the Pre-Kindergarten-2nd grade Nature School, families are provided with flexible offerings to best suit your needs. You may choose between a drop-off option for your 3.5-8 year old, or parents are welcome to stay at nature school for part of our day, or the entire time. Prior to being approved for the drop-off option, families will be required to have a consult/meet & greet with the teacher to ensure this is the best fit for each child enrolled with Explorers by Nature school program.
