November Farm School Session
Now Enrolling
About the Class:
Join Explorers by Nature this November for a single visit to a local Lakeside ranch. Explorers will have the opportunity interact with, learn about and care for farm animals, venture out on the surrounding trails, while also engaging in farm chores, and farm/homesteading inspired projects & activities! Farm School is designed for ages 4-10 (TK-5th grade). Children will be split into age-based groups for a portion of our day together, as well as enjoying time as a whole-group to experience the rich benefits of multi-age learning! We are a nomadic style Farm School and meet at a variety of East County SD Farms, Ranches and homesteads. Upon sign-up, you will be emailed with our exact meeting location/address for this Lakeside Ranch! Our daily rhythm of Farm School typically includes opening circle/snack, animal interactions/farm chores, lunch/free station choice (games, art, mud kitchen play and more!) and station-based learning in which we dive into our play-based lessons/projects for the day, ending with closing circle time to reflect on our time spent alongside friends and farm animals! Every part of your child's day with Explorers by Nature is thoughtfully designed to meet their varied needs: social-emotional, physical, and educational. Children are given autonomy of their time with Explorers by Nature, through free time, open station choices, and planned activities that are intended to be child-led. Granting our children this independence builds self-confidence and allows explorers to discover new passions and interests.
